Razorclaw was the leader of the Predacons, a sub-group of the larger Decepticon army. In the face of continuing cooperation with the Autobots, Razorclaw chose to separate from the Decepticons, making the Predacons a faction in their own right. In the final battle for Cybertron, known as The Push, Razorclaw was killed, leaving the Predacons to be commanded by three Generals who soon signed an official ceasefire and declaration of peace.

Razorclaw served loyally under Megatron for the vast majority of the Great War. But after the events in the Earth year 2005 CE, the Decepticons found themselves with a new leader – Galvatron, who was a crazed dictator, verging on insane.

To the relief of most Decepticons, Megatron returned to the command after Prime's defeat of Galvatron on Earth.

Razorclaw would no longer see eye to eye with his leader however, disagreeing with the participation in an alliance with the Autobots against the Cybertronian Empire. The rift was exacerbated by Megatron's acceptance of Prime's decision not to share the Proto-Matter Technology they had recently developed.

Razorclaw instructed troops loyal to him to begin raids on cargo ships carrying the Technology between Earth and Cybertron. He also instructed Predacon scientists to develop a way to over-ride the inbuilt Autobot programming on the Technology. This act of defiance earned Razorclaw greater respect among the Decepticons, some even abandoning their posts to join his ranks.

After the defeat of Jhiaxus and his armada by the Swarm, the Alliance between the Autobots and Decepticons continues. Razorclaw has had enough of the cooperation and Megatron's Autobot-pandering. He orders a devastating attack on Earth – not to strip her of resources, but to destroy her.

This was Razorclaw's way of announcing the separation of the Predacons from the Decepticons, and thus creating a new faction in the Great War.

The Predacons would not take part in the Hub Assault, instead taking the opportunity to assume positions on Cybertron, preparing for their attack to reclaim the planet.

With Megatron dead and the Decepticons a spent force, Shockwave declared the Decepticons defunct. Any Ex-Decepticons still wishing to fight soon joined Razorclaw's ranks, and the Predacons assume all territory previously held by the Decepticons.

In one of the many battles, the Maximals, an off-shoot of the Autobots, deal a crushing blow to the Predacons by killing 4 of the original Predacons – Divebomb, Headstrong, Tantrum and Rampage; or so they thought.

The attack had indeed extinguished the Sparks of Rampage and Tantrum, but those of Divebomb and Headstrong survived, but this information was kept a secret.

Razorclaw exploited the kidnapping of a Maximal Scientist by ordering him to build a new, combining body out of Proto-Matter for he and his two surviving brothers.

Razorclaw would never get to enjoy being a combined force with them again, as in the final battle for Cybertron, he was killed in action, though no one has ever stepped forward to claim the prized scalp, which has created a lot of mystery around the death of he and his brothers.
An overview of Razorclaw.
